According to Forbes.com the Chinese are not only manipulating their currency! But China is also manipulating price on the new industry that is on the rise, the solar panel industry. With the constant rise of this industry in America and the way of going “green” solar panels and the need for them are on the rise.
China is the leader in distributing solar panels to America; however America is trying to establish its fashion and technology market, and that includes solar panels. Solar World Industries America are the leaders in distributing American solar panels, and according to Gordon Brinser, the chief executive of Solar World Industries America “This basically takes it from being just allegations of illegal activities in this industry to confirmation”.

By levying tariffs ranging from 30-250% on all solar panels imported from China, the ruling will constrict the growth of renewable energy here in America, driving up the prices for installers, their customers, and, ultimately, the American taxpayer. This legislation threatens to kill the very blue-collar jobs it claims to save.
Last October, the U.S. subsidiary of the German company SolarWorld Industries filed a petition claiming that Chinese manufacturers were infiltrating the U.S. market, “dumping” their panels at less than cost in a drive to put U.S. manufacturers out of business. Chinese government subsidies, SolarWorld claims, made it impossible to compete.

When the United States International Trade Commission decided on Wednesday to uphold tariffs of about 24 to 36 percent on most solar panels imported from China, the case’s proponents claimed a major victory. Domestic solar manufacturers said the duties, to be in place for five years, would make up for unfair business practices by Chinese companies that had harmed the domestic market and allow homegrown companies to hire more workers and thrive.

Thanks to Chanel, the little black dress has been a requirement of every woman’s wardrobe since 1926, when Vogue published on of Coco Chanel’s fashion drawings and predicted that it would “become a uniform.” (Picardy) She may not have invented the idea, but I think we can all agree that she perfected it. The LBD is usually a simple sheath dress, like CoCo’s original, but any knee-length or shorter, simple black dress will do. The simplicity of the dress allows for it to take you anywhere, depending on the cut of the dress and how you accessorize. Below I’ve utilized Polyvore.com to show and example of how to accessorize the same LBD for going out on the town and for work. All items are priced below $50. I’ve also thrown in an extra style, because we all know that the LBD is perfect for date night. You can go super sexy, or cute and modest. Have fun ladies, and make sure that you have at least one Little Black Dress!

Q: What inspired your 2013 Winter/Fall collection you’re previewing at Sac Fashion Week?
This is my debut collection and I am very excited to show in my hometown, Sacramento. My An Affair to Remember Collection for Fall/ Winter 2013 was inspired by three things: Old Hollywood opulence, my experiences in New York this last year and my own love affair with evening wear.
For this collection you can expect to see ultra feminine silhouettes, a tight color palette of rich hues, opulent embellishments, and romantic textiles like flowing chiffon, slinky satin, structured taffeta, and soft jersey nits. Each element was thoughtfully chosen to create a sense of drama and beautiful movement.
I always like to create a fusion of sophistication and sensuality in my designs and this collection continues to embrace these elements. I like to say that I like to mix the class of Audrey with the sass of Marilyn.
Karisa Gold Collection is designed for fashion forward, contemporary women who appreciate a sense of romance in formal wear. Women who believe wearing a beautiful gown is like wearing a force field of confidence that illuminates their surroundings wherever they go.
Q: Do you see limits on life? Or Fashion?
Absolutely not. The only limits people have are the ones they set for themselves. Are there challenges? Yes. But I believe it is the challenges we face that make us who we are and show us what we can achieve.
Q: What is main goal for your fashion career? (Fashion destiny)
I believe my fashion destiny is to create my own line of formal and bridal gowns. I have a strong affinity for evening wear. I have always wanted to create beautifully crafted dress because to me they are true pieces of art, art that can give you that boost of self-confidence and help a woman show her inner shine.
Q: What attributes do you contribute to fashion? And how are your styles elevating fashion to the next level?
I design pieces that actually flatter a curvier form. Being Latina and having hips has inspired me to create pieces for women like me. I feel like a lot of times when I go shopping, there are a lot of styles that are beautiful, but clearly for a thinner and straighter frame. So, I design pieces I wish I could find more often.
